Abstract
Dicarbonyl-cyclopentadienyl-2- and 3-pyridoyl-iron (L-1, L-2) and 2,6-dicar bonyl-pyridine-bis(dicarbonyl-cyclopen tadienyl-iron) (L-3) function as lig ands in metal complexes and the N,O-chelates [(OC)(4)M(L-1)] (M = Mo, W, 8a ,b) and [(Ph3P)(2)Cu(L-1)]+BF4- (9) were prepared. Monodentate coordination of L-1 and L-2 through the pyridine N-atom occurs in the palladium(II) com plexes [Cl2Pd(PnBu(3))(L-1)] (10), [Cl2Pd(PnBu(3))(L-2)] (11) and [Cl2Pd(L- 2)(2)] (12). Ligand L-3 forms the O,N,O-bis(chelate) [Cl2Zn(L-3)] (13). The crystal and molecular structures of L-1, 8 b (M = W), 9-11 and 13 were det ermined by X-ray diffraction.
