Interface roughness effects on the giant magnetoresistance in magnetic mult
ilayers are analysed theoretically for structures with non-conformal correl
ated interfaces. The roughness of each interface is described in terms of t
he K-correlation model and is characterized by the roughness exponent H(0 l
ess than or equal to H < 1), correlation length xi, and rms roughness ampli
tude Delta. Coherent scattering by different interfaces is also taken into
account.
