Abstract
We report the discovery of Eryloside F, a novel disaccharide of the steroid al carboxylic acid penasterol, isolated from an extract of the marine spong e Erylus formosus. The compound is a potent thrombin receptor antagonist, a nd furthermore inhibits human platelet aggregation in vitro. (C) 2000 Elsev ier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
