Abstract
The micropolarity of the aqueous core of water/AOT/NC propane reverse micel les has been investigated in terms of E-T(N) value and effective dielectric constant (epsilon(eff)). No pressure dependence of micropolarity was obser ved in one-phase micellar solution. However, the micropolarity ranges in ep silon(eff) from that corresponding to pure ethanol to pure methanol on incr easing the water content of micelles. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
