Abstract
Since its introduction in the late 1960s, low-intensity laser therapy has b een investigated as a treatment modality with a variety of applications. De spite some evidence of in vitro effects, low-intensity laser therapy has ye t to move beyond the level of marginal or no evidence of clinical effect. T his article reviews findings from numerous studies investigating the effica cy of low-power laser therapy.
