A new blending agent and its effects on methanol-gasoline fuels

The major difficulty encountered with the use of methanol-gasoline blends a s SI engine fuel is their tendency to phase separation due to the hydrophil ic properties of methanol. Phase separation can lead to some utilization pr oblems. Using a blending agent for the methanol-gasoline system is the comm on approach taken towards solving the phase separation problem. In this stu dy introduces fraction of molasses fusel oil as an effective new blending a gent for methanol-gasoline fuel.
