Abstract
A site-specific methylation of 1,2,4-triazolate rings in ruthenium(II) comp lexes Using OMe3+BF4- is reported. Interestingly methylation takes place pr eferentially at the most sterically hindered nitrogen atom of the coordinat ed triazole ring.
