Quantum paraelectric-like behavior has been observed in the paratitanate fa
mily of materials. Experiments performed on the dielectric properties of (L
a1/2Na1/2)TiO3 and (Nd1/2Na1/2)TiO3 over the temperature range 4 K-300 K su
ggest quantum paraelectric-like behavior and the dielectric data fits Barre
tt's expression. Other characteristics known to possess quantum paraelectri
cs, like a strong E-field dependence of dielectric constant at low temperat
