Abstract
The conceptual model presented in the study attempts to provide a comprehen sive framework of privacy regulation. The model identifies regulatory chara cteristics and relationships by which the variables are linked. The theoret ical construct holds that environmental, behavioral, and social mechanisms operating within the context of culture are employed to regulate privacy in work environments. The model alerts designers to address a range of privac y issues that may be pertinent to their particular function.
