The frequency dependence of the complex input impedance of a quartz resonat
or (QR) is considered. The QR electric capacitance C-0', which is switched
in parallel to a high-Q oscillatory circuit connected in series, is compens
ated by balancing inductivity L-0' that forms, in combination with C-0', a
relatively low-Q parallel oscillatory circuit. The impedance and amplitude-
phase responses of the QR is analyzed taking into account loss resistance o
f the compensating inductivity.
