The nuclear physics dependence of the exotic (mu(-),e(-)) conversion b
ranching ratio Rmu e- for the experimentally most interesting nuclei,
Pb-208 and Ti-48, is investigated in various nuclear models. The resul
ts thus obtained are combined with the new experimental limits extract
ed at PSI for these nuclei, to put bounds on the elementary particle p
arameters entering Rmu e- such as intermediate neutrino masses and mix
ing angles as well as relevant parameters of intermediate supersymmetr
ic particles (masses and mixing of s-fermions and neutralinos).
