Abstract
A case of patent ductus venosus (PDV) presenting intrapulmonary shunting is described. Although retrograde venography of ductus venosus showed few int rahepatic branches, banding of PDV resulted in increased intrahepatic porta l branches and disappearance of symptoms 10 months after the operation. Ban ding of the ductus venosus may be effective in PDV even with hypoplastic in trahepatic portal system. Copyright (C) 2000 by W.B. Saunders Company.
