A magnetometric method is proposed for determining the mutual angular posit
ion of two objects in space. A system of nonlinear equations that must be s
olved numerically is introduced. Results are presented from a computer anal
ysis of solutions that air obtained for the system. arid a structural diagr
am of an instrument that was developed is presented together with experimen
tal data from the measurement of angles. It is shown that the proposed syst
em makes it possible to deter-mine the mutual angular position of two objec
ts with a random error of 0.03 degrees.
