Abstract
TiA16V4 was laser coated with a powder mixture of TiA16V4 and Tic. Using Ti C-particles in a nickel envelope higher hardness and wear resistance are ac hieved compared with TiC-particles without a nickel coating. In this paper the influence of the different TiC-particles on the microstructure and char acteristic properties of the layers are described.
