Abstract
NTT is conducting research and development on Advanced Wireless Access (AWA ), with the aim to apply this technology to high-speed Internet and multime dia mobile systems. This paper describes the AWA system concept and present s results of application experiments on GEMnet utilizing prototype AWA equi pment.
