Abstract
The complexity of the decision to recommend hormone replacement therap y (HRT) for the postmenopausal woman depends on the medical status of the patient, her concerns and goals, and the indications being conside red. This article suggests a practical approach that leads to informed , collaborative decision making between the health care professional a nd patient.
