Abstract
Amyloid nephropathy was the presenting symptom in a case of Familial Medite rranean Fever (FMF). As recent progress in molecular pathology permits the detection of asymptomatic FMF individuals, it is suggested that relevant ca ses of renal amyloidosis should be tested for FMF mutations.
