Abstract
The reactions of two- and six-armed star-shaped fullerene-containing polyst yrenes bearing fullerene-lithium active bonds with the agents of functionil ization and coupling, benzoyl chloride and dimethyldichlorosilane, were stu died. It was shown that the interaction of the active star-shaped polymers with acid chloride is limited by a substitution of lithium by a carbonyl gr oup and is not accompanied by the acts of coupling of star-shaped macromole cules. The reaction of active, six-armed, star-shaped polymers with dimethy ldichlorosilane leads to the products of pair coupling of star-shaped macro molecules through a silicon atom. A method which allows variation in the nu mber of arms in a star-shaped macromolecule was developed on the basis of r eactions of functionilization and coupling of star-shaped macromolecules. F ormation of polymers with a preset number of arms was confirmed by HPLC mea surements.
