It was shown that the solid-phase interaction of C-60 fullerite with a poly
mer takes place during the joint grinding of powders, A comparative analysi
s of the absorption electronic spectra of the aqueous and chloroform soluti
ons of C-60-polymer complexes prepared by various methods was performed usi
ng known data for C-60 fullerene obtained by vibrational spectroscopy. It w
as found that the fullerene-polymer complex synthesized by a method, involv
ing an evaporative concentration of solution, is characterized by the forma
tion of a local bond of the donor-acceptor type. In a complex of the same c
omposition prepared without a solvent, the bonds of the hydrophobic type ar
e uniformly distributed over the surface of the C-60 molecule.
