Abstract
The initial 3 years have been considered the highest risk period for o ccurrence of cancer-related death after resection of gastric cancer(1- 4). However, death from recurrence may occur even 4 years after surger y, This retrospective study was undertaken to examine the influence of tumour penetration into the gastric wall on the period of risk of dea th from recurrent gastric cancer.
