Abstract
Results of experimental and theoretical studies of the nonlinear loss and t he resonance frequency shift in rod-type resonators made of annealed and un annealed zinc are presented. The experimental dependences are described in terms of the phenomenological equations of state allowing for the elastic n onlinearity. From the comparison of the theoretical dependences with the ex perimental results, the parameters of the hysteretic nonlinearity are deter mined. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
