Thermochemical and phase diagram data taken from literature have been criti
cally evaluated with respect to consistency in order to provide the Gibbs e
nergies of liquid and solid phases. The liquid phase was described with the
use of the associated solution model, while low and high temperature modif
ications of Si2Te3 are given as stoichiometric. Phase diagram and thermodyn
amic functions calculated from the set of optimized parametric descriptions
of the Gibbs energies are presented.
