The pollution degree in post-flood water and sediments from the Odra River
was evaluated using the procedures for pesticides and phenols analysis with
final determination with GC-ECD, GC-NPD and HPLC-UV. The samples were take
n from the Odra river during the first International Odra Project (IOP) cam
paign (08.97). The solid phase extraction method for the separation of anal
ytes from the water and extraction with the organic solvent for isolation o
f analytes from the sediments were used. The results obtained show that the
concentration of pesticides is low and in all cases below the allowable li
mit. We did not find: phenol, o-nitrophenol, p-nitrophenol, 2,4-dinitrophen
ol, o-chlorophenol, 2,4-dichlorophenol, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4
-D), 2-methylo-4chlorophenoxyacetic acid (MCPA), 2-methylo-4-chlorophenoxyp
ropionic acid (MCPP) in any analysed samples.
