Abstract
While addition of phosphorus ligands such as P(OPh)(3) to Rh(allyl)(3) give s monovalent Rh(allyl)L-2, the iridium analog gives stable mixed sigma/pi-t ris(allyl) complexes, as evidenced by the structural characterization of mo no-, bi-, and tri-dentate ligand complexes.
