Abstract
A new series of compounds Er(Fe1-xCox)(11.35)Nb-0.65, were synthesized . For x less than or equal to 0.4, the element Nb can stabilize the Th Mn12-type compounds. X-ray diffraction results show that the lattice p arameters a and c decrease with the substitution of Co for Fe atoms. W ith increasing Co content, the Curie temperature increases from T-c=50 7 K for x=O to T-c=904 K for x=0.4. Values of the saturation magnetiza tion at 5 K and 300 K are reported.
