Abstract
Commercially available lipase from porcine-pancreas has been immobilized on to zirconia coated alkylamine glass-heads through the process of glutaralde hyde coupling with 100% retention of its initial activity. The enzyme showe d changes in its physical properties after immobilization. The utility of i mmobilized enzyme in removal of oil stain from cotton cloth is demonstrated .
