Abstract
The basic factors determining the equivalent noise temperature of spherical lens antennas are considered. The antenna noise temperature is calculated for different types of spherical lenses as a function of the dielectric par ameters. A comparative estimation of the noise temperature of reflector and spherical lens antennas is performed.
