A method of measuring the magnetoresistance of metallic superlattices is pr
oposed. The superlattice is placed at the antinodal point of the resonator
electric field so that its plane is perpendicular to the direction of the e
lectric field. The loaded Q-factor of the resonator connected as a transmit
ting element is measured. The constant magnetic field is applied in the sup
erlattice plane. The measurements are performed in the quasi-static frequen
cy band 0.5-2 GHz. Under these conditions, the rf current is perpendicular
to the plane of the superlattice layers. It is shown that the relative vari
ation of the modulus of the transmission coefficient is at least twice as l
arge as that of the de-measured magnetoresistance.
