Abstract
The results of comparative analysis are presented for turbo-codes and produ ct-codes, as well as for the codes obtained on their basis that are intende d for transmitting up to 250-bit information messages with the rate 1/2. It is shown that such codes are almost equivalent-with respect to noise immun ity and complexity of technical implementation-to iterative decoding algori thms.
