The methods of processing topologically modulated signals are considered. T
he algorithm of synthesis of switching circuits is proposed, which is based
on an analogy between topological characteristics of the signal fields and
the corresponding spatial frequencies from the one side and the discrete s
pectrum of temporal frequencies from the other side. Filtering of temporal
frequencies is performed using the known circuits-prototypes operating on c
oncentrated elements. It is proposed to use these circuits in order to dete
rmine geometric parameters of spatial structures-switches of topologically
modulated signals. Fundamental restrictions related to the performance of t
hese circuits are considered. It is shown that the known electrodynamic eff
ects and phenomena in solids do not prevent the execution of subpicosecond
logical operations by passive structures. Using the scaling method applied
to the results of experimental investigations of temporal characteristics,
the capability of a switch to operate in the picosecond range is indirectly
confirmed.
