Lp. Wang et J. Wolff, Anesthetic management of severe chronic cardiopulmonary failure during endovascular embolization of a PICA aneurysm - A case report, J NEUROS AN, 12(2), 2000, pp. 120-123
The authors present a case in which a 64-year-old female patient suffering
from severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction underwent endovascular embolization
of an aneurysm of the posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA). The ane
sthetic management consisted of so-called dynamic akinetic sedation and con
trolled hemodynamics (DASCH) using intravenous propofol and dopamine infusi
ons and invasive blood pressure monitoring. The details of the perioperativ
e patient management are described. The patient made a successful recovery.
