Abstract
The new homoscorpionate ligand, hydrotris[3-(carboxypyrrolidido)pyrazol-1-y l]borate, [Tp(cpd)](-), was synthesized, and it formed with lanthanide(III) ions La, Nd and Sm, structurally characterized [M(Tp(cpd))(2)]PF6 complexe s, where the lanthanide ion was in a ten-coordinate enviroment consisting o f one N3O3 hexadentate Tp(cpd) ligand, and one N2O2 tetradentate Tp(cpd) li gand.
