S. Dev et Jd. Sharma, Resolution of the Be/B solar neutrino flux anomaly in the resonant spin-flavor precession scenario with twisting solar magnetic fields, MOD PHY L A, 15(5), 2000, pp. 351-360
The Be/B neutrino flux anomaly has been examined within the framework of th
e resonant spin-flavor precession scenario with twisting solar magnetic fie
lds. It is found that the twist of the toroidal component of the solar magn
etic field, leads naturally to a complete disappearance of Be-7 neutrinos e
merging from one of the solar hemispheres. However, the Be-7 neutrino flux
emerging from the other solar hemisphere with oppositely twisted magnetic f
ield must survive completely. Thus, this scenario predicts seasonal variati
ons of the Be-7 neutrino flux to be observed in the Borexino experiment.
