Abstract
Cultures of the fungus epibiont from the herbaceous shrub B. coridifolia yi elded four macrocyclic trichothecenes. As these toxins are the same as thos e found in B. coridifolia, the relationship between the plant and the epibi ont must be considered as mutualistic.
