Abstract
The elaboration of a 2,3,7-9a-tetrahydro-1H-8-oxa-1-aza-phenalen-9-one deri vative, as a potential key intermediate for the synthesis of stephaoxocanes , employing Jackson's tosylamidoacetal cyclization, is presented.
