Abstract
We propose a secure digital communication system in association with the di rect spread spectrum technique. In our proposed system, the spreading signa l is generated by a class of multi-dimensional chaotic maps in the transmit ter and is linearly synchronized by using a drive-response coupling scheme in the receiver. Owing to the desirable statistic property of the chaotic m aps and the interference reduction ability inherited from the correlation r eceiver, better security and considerable robustness against noise are simu ltaneously achieved. Theoretical analysis has been conducted and numerical experiments have been performed based on a 3-dimensional chaotic map. which illustrate our idea and verify the viability of the method.
