Abstract
Heavy ion activation of natural praseodymium foil with 70 MeV B-11(5+) resu lts in the formation of no-carrier added gadolinium isotopes,Gd-147,Gd-149, and their corresponding decay products, (EU)-E-147, in the matrix. The no- carrier added gadolinium and europium radionuclides have been separated fro m the bulk target matrix praseodymium by employing liquid-liquid extraction method using HDEHP as liquid cation exchanger.
