The aim of this paper was to obtain a total raw extract from Brassica olera
cea in order to prepare some oinments with therapeutic properties. The bioa
ctive preparations resulted through processing of two phases: a liquid one
and a solid one. The isolation and identification of the biological active
compounds were carried out by GC-MS. The main identified biological compoun
d in the purified extract was indol-3-acetonitrile, which is known for its
antitumoral activity. The preliminary clinical tests demonstrated the thera
peutic potential of the preparings, having similar effects to those of the
corticosteroides, for treating both chronically ulcers of the calf legs and
some chronically swelling diseases.
