In this paper a closed vessel microwave digestion method is described for M
n analysis, in fodder yeast, by FAAS. This method developed is compared wit
h a conventional wet digestion, with HNO3+H2O2+HClO4, at normal pressure (d
etails given). The results obtained by both procedures were compared from s
tatistical point of view, by using t - and F - tests, and by linear regress
ion analysis. Statistical evaluations indicate that there was no significan
t difference between the paired mean values, and between the precision of t
hese two digestion methods, at the 95% confidence level.
