This paper reports an outbreak of cutaneous larva migrans in children of a
school located in Campo Grande, MS. Six out of the 16 students (37.5%) acqu
ired this parasitic dermatitis in two playgrounds contaminated by cat feces
, in which ancylostomid larvae were found. The serpiginous lesions and/or p
apules were located in the hands, feet, buttocks, thighs, vulva and serotum
. Control measures of this parasitosis are discussed.
