Abstract
We report a case of "fou rire prodromique" heralding a brainstem infarct wi th favorable prognosis after thrombolysis. Different clinical forms of path ological laughter, the pathophysiological mechanisms and clinico-anatomical correlations of this rare phenomenon are discussed.
