Boron difluoride beta-diketonates: I. Methods for preparing boron difluoride chelates with beta-dicarbonyl compounds

Procedures are discussed for preparing boron difluoride chelates with P-dic arbonyl compounds. A new method is proposed, involving double acylation of activated aromatic systems under the action of boron trifluoride. Character istics of some reported compounds and those prepared for the first. time in this work by the new procedure are presented.
