Abstract
Molecular mechanisms of the interaction between pathogens and plants includ e elicitor perception, triggering the cyclic adenylate, MAP kinase, calcium , phosphatidic acid, lipoxygenase, NADPH oxidase, and NO signaling pathways , amplifying the elicitor signals and their transduction to transcription f actors, expressing defense genes, and developing plant defense responses. T he enhancing or suppressing effects of the components of one signaling path way on the enzymes of another signaling pathway are discussed.
