Abstract
A short, stereoselective route to the C13-C19 fragment of the immunosuppres sant sanglifehrin A 1, is presented. The key step involves a highly diaster eoselective boron aldol reaction between beta-ketoimide 11 and triisopropyl silyl propargyl aldehyde 21c.
