Abstract
A chiral monodentate phosphine 3 is shown to be an efficient ligand for pal ladium-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylation. Reactions of racemic allyli c acetates 4 and 6 with malonates in the presence of (R)-3 and [Pd(eta(3)-C 3H5)Cl](2) gave (R)-5 and (S)-7 in 99% ee and 91% ee, respectively.
