Abstract
The chemoselective ring opening of epoxides to bromohydrins in the presence of ketal, benzyloxymethoxy and trimethylsilyl ether functionality using tr iphenylphosphonium bromide is described. The preparation of a polymer suppo rted variant is also reported.
