Abstract
Highly regio- and stereoselective Diels-Alder reactions of masked o-benzoqu inones with electron-rich dienophiles such as benzyl vinyl ether, dihydrofu ran, phenyl vinyl sulfide and styrene that provide easy access to bicyclo[2 .2.2]octenones are described.
