Abstract
The energy savings from vapour compression entail additional costs for the vapour compressors and larger heating surfaces of the drier and thus are of fset to a certain degree. Therefore, a detailes cost-benefit-analysis is re quired. A mathematical model is presented, which is analytically solvable.
