Abstract
The reaction of (C6F5)(2)BCl with trimethylsilyl azide results in the forma tion of (C6F5)(2)BN3 1; evaporation of the stabilizing solvent results in i rreversible dimerization yielding [(C6F5)(2)BN3](2) 1a as the first example of a dimeric boron azide; in the presence of pyridine a stable adduct (C6F 5)(2)BN3. py 2 is isolated.
