Abstract
A new hybrid time domain method is presented which combines three well-know n numerical techniques i.e. the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method , finite element (FE) method and method of moments (MoM). The hybrid scheme has been designed to handle complex geometries comprising arbitrary thin-w ire structures and inhomogeneous dielectric regions the shape of which can also be arbitrary. Numerical results are presented which illustrate the acc uracy of the method.
